The origins of this splendid residence date back to the 19th century, when it was a favorite haunt of writer Maupassant. It was Claude Valentin, accompanied by his wife, who decided to breathe new life into this place steeped in history by turning it into a luxury hotel. Over the years, the Manoir au Lac has expanded and modernized, reflecting the timeless elegance of its time while preserving its old-world charm.
In 1997, the hotel already had seven rooms, but a first extension was completed, adding a further seven rooms, a garage and a sumptuous indoor swimming pool. In 2020, a new phase of work transformed the space once again, increasing capacity to five suites and 14 rooms. The restaurant, a true jewel, seems to float like a boat on the lake, offering guests a breathtaking view of the sparkling waters of the "Pearl of the Vosges".
